A motivational fitness and gym-wear clothing company, Inner Beast Clothing has been in business since 2015. The company’s demographic is men and women from ages 18 to 34, and their purpose is to provide clothing with positive and powerful messages.
John Hernandez, the owner of the business, says: “The motivation for it was that I’ve always been really into fitness, and I’ve always been creative, so I wanted to find a way to combine the two. For me, that was clothing. It’s become a real brand, with a message about motivating and inspiring.”
Part of the appeal of BREED Business Centre for John was having other tenants to network with, as well as the affordable rent and no lock-in contract.
He also liked having administration services, because it meant he knew his parcels would be taken care of – which, as a clothing business, was an important factor.
In terms of how the business was impacted by COVID, John said: “It was very challenging. There was no space for me to work, I didn’t have the motivation.”
However, with online shopping high demand during COVID, Inner Beast was a small business that actually experienced growth during the pandemic.
