Tenant spotlight: National Driver Education

By Madeleine Jensen

Offering high quality driver education, National Driver Education aims to deliver safer driver courses for young drivers aged 16-25 years old as well as corporate and government programs.

The business works with individuals and companies to offer the best standards of training, with directors Len Balk and Ross Banno having years of experience as driver trainers for the NSW Police Force.

National Driver Education started up in 2004. Ross Banno said that they chose BREED Business Centre for the support.

“The concept of an incubator was appealing to us, it’s what drew our interest.”

COVID was challenging for the business, but Ross said the rent reduction provided by BREED helped them through the difficult time period.

“You need to have contingency plans in place,” Ross said, “You have to be able to diversify and continually develop. You need to make sure you’re constantly accessible.”

National Driver Education is one of BREED’s longest-standing tenants. The low rental costs, and access to training room hire and networking opportunities, are part of what makes the BREED Business Centre appealing to them 16 years on.
