Nathan Burbridge

Past and current working experience

Nathan is a senior government policy adviser and economic development professional. He has over 20 years’ experience working in the local government sector. Over his career, Nathan has worked as a senior manager for some of the most diverse and largest local governments area in New South Wales. His expertise covers the disciplines of strategic planning, property and economic development, land use and transport planning, place making and corporate governance. In addition to the time, he dedicates to BREED Australia; Nathan is also a non-executive Director of the Sydney Zoo Foundation. Prior to these appointments, Nathan was a former committee member of the New South Wales Property Industry Foundation and the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal Committee. Nathan is degree qualified in urban planning, property and has a Master of Environmental Law. In 2016, he became a graduate of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.

What is my purpose in life?

Nathan’s purpose is life is to make a positive difference to the lives of others in whatever way he can. He says he will do this by encouraging and supporting people through their triumphs, hardships, and everything in between by being more than anything else; kind, generous, empathetic, and honest.

What I bring to Breed Australia Inc?

Nathan is community minded and has served in the not for profit and charity sector for over 15 years. He has a strong corporate knowledge of the organisation; its operations and strategy having served the organisation now for 10 years. Nathan has strong community networks and excellent links to government. He is also passionate about supporting small business and enabling BREED Australia to deliver on its core purpose of youth education and employment as described in its constitution. Nathan is motivated for BREED Australia to be a truly members led organisation with strong corporate governance to ensure the organisation is held accountable to its true purpose and constitutional objectives. He wants to use his career experience to ensure BREED Australia becomes a self-reliant organisation with a balanced financial strategy that makes its sustainable, enduring and able to deliver its core purpose too more people

Matthew Pearce

Past and current working experience

I started my career in local government in New South Wales and worked my way up to hold several senior roles at metropolitan Councils. It was during this time working in councils that I identified areas where information technology and information management could assist councils to improve service capacity to their communities. This led me to create my own consulting business specifically focused on helping people in local government leverage the benefits of technology. In 2012 I joined the team Redman Solutions. We are an organisation committed to helping people in local government deliver better outcomes for their communities. I have worked on projects in each state in Australia and have assisted in building a team and growing the business. Our strength is in assisting council teams to understand the connection between ‘people, process and technology’ and get them focused on the outcomes that will benefit their organisations and the communit

What is my purpose in life?

Matthew’s purpose in life is to help businesses grow to their full potential and teach people to work more efficiently by harnessing the capabilities of technology. “The key to wellbeing in our world is thriving local communities with opportunity and encouragement for everyone.”

What I bring to Breed Australia Inc?

For me BREED has an exciting and innovative mission – what stands out is the goal to improve a person’s chance of getting a job or maintaining/growing their small business. Breed’s aim to have a profound impact on disadvantaged people across Australia is inspiring. I am committed to outcomes, and connecting with local communities are key areas for BREED. I look forward to working with the board and team to foster an expansion of activities and success in these areas.

GUS Nehme

Gus has a wealth of international and domestic experience spanning across the private, corporate and NFP sectors. With a MBA, and multiple Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Investment, he has gained diverse experience working in the USA, Australia, the Middle East and North Africa.

He has deep expertise in executive management, business consultancy, sales, marketing and project management. Ghassan has worked and owned businesses in a range of industries such as: IT, Electronics, Education, Manufacturing, Wholesales, Real Estate, Imports/Exports, Retails, Finance, Food, Quality Management and Chemicals industries.

Gus currently owns two businesses one in Real Estate and the other in Food supplies/hospitality, Gus is also the NSW/ACT State Manager with Thrive Refugee Enterprise, a non-profit organisation to assist Refugees and Asylum Seekers to integrate economically and socially in the Australian community.

Kendall Nicholas

Kendall is a pragmatic solutions-focused executive leader with demonstrated success leading large, geographically dispersed Supply Chain and Tech teamsin ambiguous and complex environments, with a proven track record of driving strategic transformational change with a whole of business approach including LION, Cerebos,and Unilever.

She gains a solid understanding and assessment of the technical landscape and business processes, identifies the right focus and target operating model,builds the business case and gains support for large transformation programs. She embeds process and solution adoption ensuring business case outcomes are achieved while cyber securing operations in the evolving digital world.

She tackles challenging conversations head on, bringing underlying issues to the surface to be resolved. Kendall builds trusted relationships and highperforming teams, is passionate about inclusion, diversity and creating a culture for learning and competency growth.

Anu bedi

Independent Director

Anu Bedi, a dynamic entrepreneur, advocate, and educator, has made an indelible mark across various industries, driven by her unwavering dedication to positively impacting individuals and communities.
