Path To Freedom

Funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services

Five smiling young people posing together, arms around each other, against a plain background.

The Path to Freedom program helps young people from CALD backgrounds with psychosocial disabilities join workshops, build skills, engage in community activities, and pursue career & financial goals. It supports carers and families to connect with others and learn ways to better support their loved ones.

As part of BREED Australia’s mission to empower individuals regardless of their background, the Path to Freedom Program is built around BREED’s Learning for Good Programs, which will empower youth who face psycho-social disability challenges. This program directly helps fight the global mental health crisis facing youth.

Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that BREED is located on the lands of the Darug Peoples and pay our respects to Darug Elders past, present, and emerging. We also acknowledge that Western Sydney is a former resettlement area, and many Aboriginal families call Western Sydney home, some for many years across generations, and for some, more recently. We pay our respects to our Elders and community leaders for their past and ongoing commitment to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Western Sydney
