BREED Australia recognised for Outstanding Achievement at the Australian Charity Awards 2025
In 2025, BREED Australia Incorporated was recognised as a Winner for Outstanding Achievement in The Australian Charity Awards.
The recognition was awarded for Change Creators, a program developed and delivered by BREED Australia in partnership with the Putland Training Unit at Cobham Youth Justice Centre. Change Creators was designed to address one of Australia’s most persistent challenges, the cycle of youth recidivism, by placing mindset development at the foundation of rehabilitation and reintegration.
Delivered within a secure youth justice environment, the program supports young people aged 14 to 18 to build emotional regulation, resilience and a sense of purpose. By combining the Learning for Good™ framework with ethical entrepreneurship principles, Change Creators offers an alternative pathway for young people for whom traditional models have failed to resonate.
Since its commencement, the program has demonstrated measurable improvements in confidence, self-awareness and future orientation among participants. Importantly, Change Creators does not focus on short-term engagement alone, but on equipping young people with the internal tools required to sustain change beyond custody.

This recognition reinforces BREED Australia’s role as a leader in alternative education and mindset-first approaches within complex systems. With Change Creators currently delivered at a single juvenile facility, the model has strong potential for replication across New South Wales and nationally.
